Acceptable use and copyright
Not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This page explains in plain words how Aurnis works and what you can expect. It will be reviewed and may change before paid plans or public launch; if it changes in a way that matters to you, we will tell you.
This policy is part of the Terms of use. It keeps Aurnis safe and useful for the people in your space.
What is not allowed
- Breaking the law, or helping anyone else to, including fraud, money laundering, or recording illegal activity.
- Harassing, threatening, doxxing, discriminating against or intimidating anyone, including through the record of bills, chores or penalties.
- Using Aurnis to pressure or charge people in ways a lease or the law forbids, or to hide who is owed what from the people affected.
- Putting in information about someone without a good reason, or about anyone under 18.
- Uploading content that infringes anyone’s rights, or that is sexual, violent or hateful.
- Pretending to be someone else, creating accounts to dodge a limit or a suspension, or sharing a sign-in.
- Sending spam through invites or notifications, or inviting people who have not agreed to be contacted.
- Attacking the service: probing for weaknesses without permission, overloading it, scraping it, bypassing access rules, or reverse-engineering it. To report a weakness, see Security.
- Running a business or managing property for others on a personal account without telling us.
Photos and documents
Upload only what the other members need. Chore proof photos should show the finished task, not people. Do not upload IDs, bank or card numbers, health information, or anything involving children. Cover or remove what others do not need to see.
Reporting a problem
If you see something that breaks this policy, write to abuse@aurnis.com with the space name and what you saw. For a safety emergency, contact local emergency services first.
If you think an account belongs to someone under 18, write to privacy@aurnis.com. We will suspend the account and remove the information.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Aurnis infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent: the Aurnis legal contact (India has no copyright agent register), at abuse@aurnis.com. Include:
- your name and contact details;
- a description of the work you say was copied, and where on Aurnis the content is (the space name and what it is);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
We will remove or disable access to content that is the subject of a valid notice, tell the person who added it, and give them a way to send a counter-notice. We end the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. Knowingly sending a false notice can have legal consequences.
What we may do
If something breaks this policy, we may remove content, limit a feature, suspend or close an account or a space, and report it to the authorities where the law requires or allows. We act in proportion and, where we can, tell the person and give them a chance to fix it first.
If you disagree
Write to support@aurnis.com. A person will review it, and we will tell you the outcome and why.
